Malaysian Borneo occupies the northern part of Borneo, the world's third-largest island, and consists of the states of Sabah and Sarawak together with the federal territory of Labuan. The region is marked by extensive rainforests, rivers, mountains, limestone formations, and a long coastline along the South China, Sulu, and Celebes seas. Kota Kinabalu and Kuching are the principal urban centers, while smaller communities extend into forest and river regions.

Kodiak Island's primary city, Kodiak is among seven communities on the island. All transportation, whether by ferryboat or aircraft, goes through here.

Përmet is a small town in southeastern Albania, situated in the Vjosa River valley between the Dangëlli and Trebeshinë mountain ranges. Nordfjordeid is a town in Vestland county, western Norway, situated at the end of the Eidsfjorden branch of the larger Nordfjord. Surrounded by steep mountains, fertile valleys, and deep fjord waters, it serves as the administrative center of Stad Municipality.

Port Angeles is a coastal city on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, positioned along the Strait of Juan de Fuca with views toward Vancouver Island and the mountains of Olympic National Park. The city serves as an important gateway to the Olympic Peninsula, combining a working waterfront with a compact downtown, marinas, parks, and nearby forested landscapes.
