Progreso, a coastal city in the state of Yucatán, offers travelers a relaxed atmosphere with strong ties to the sea. Founded in 1871 as a port to support trade in the region, Progreso now welcomes both cargo ships and cruise liners to its shores. Its most defining feature is the Progreso Pier, one of the longest in the world, stretching over 6 kilometers into the Gulf of Mexico.
Carriacou is the largest of Grenada’s sister islands and part of the Grenadines, lying north of mainland Grenada between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Cafayate is a town in Salta Province, Argentina, located in the Calchaquí Valleys at about 1,683 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by vineyards, dry mountain slopes, and the colorful rock formations of the Quebrada de las Conchas. The town has a compact center with a leafy main square, the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Cathedral, and an artisan market selling locally made pottery, textiles, and silverwork.
