The region lies away from Iceland’s Ring Road and contains some of the country’s least populated landscapes. Ísafjörður is the largest town and the main service center, with smaller communities including Patreksfjörður, Þingeyri, Flateyri, Súðavík, and Bolungarvík.
This mountainous archipelago offers magnificent views of stark white glaciers and snowfields, which cover a vast stretch of the region. In the summer, visitors will witness the rare splendor of Svalbard’s midnight sun.
It's the largest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, lying 40 miles south of St. Thomas and St. John. While its history is laced with tales of pirates and privateers, the island today maintains a slower, more quiet pace than its sisters to the north.
Dzaoudzi is a historic town on Petite-Terre, one of the two main islands of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean. It occupies a strategic position around the Rocher de Dzaoudzi, a rocky outcrop beside the lagoon, and serves as an important arrival point for visitors using the island’s airport and ferry connections. The town combines a compact urban setting with access to beaches, volcanic landscapes, and the waters of the surrounding lagoon.

Other Popular Destinations in Netherlands
Amsterdam
Amsterdam, the 17th century capital of Holland, is often called the "Venice of the North" due to its numerous, boat-navigable canals. Truly rich in history, the oldest part of this populous, multicultural city is Sloten, which dates all the way back to the 9th century.
Rotterdam
If you find yourself in Rotterdam, there's a strong chance you've arrived by water. This popular port city (the second largest in the Netherlands) has gone through an architectural renaissance since World War II, with daring, innovative structures dotting the city (cube houses!) and defining its skyline. Café culture is on the rise here, so grab yourself a table and a cup.
